Behavioral Healthcare Review Program Component I

Med-Net Healthcare Consulting’s Behavioral Healthcare Review Program is a comprehensive review of the behavioral health provider’s clinical documentation by registered nurses experienced in long-term care and behavioral healthcare reimbursement processes.  

The clinical documentation review does the following:  

Ensures compliance with federal regulatory requirements
Identifies recommendations for improvement in clinical documentation
Ensures proper coding
Advocates for the enhancement of positive behavioral healthcare outcomes

Med-Net staff reviews psychological and psychiatric session notes to evaluate goals and interventions utilized in treatment, resident response to treatment, rationale for continuing treatment, and ensure plan of care revisions/modifications are timely and appropriate feedback, findings, and recommendations are communicated to the provider upon completion of the program.  

Med-Net staff will:  

Develop a client-specific review schedule
Identify provider code review requirements
Establish requirements for accessing documents to complete the scope of service
Create a reporting schedule that documents achievement of program objectives
Provide training as needed
